Impromptu trip to Key West

I’ve never been a fan of sport cars until I drove a Camaro! Today I’m gonna tell you a little bit about my weekend driving this awesome car.

When my friends at Chevy contacted me to lend me a Camaro the first thing I thought was “this is a signal to plan an impromptu road trip to Key West!”, so I packed my outfits, found a cute hotel and drove all the way south to enjoy a weekend at the beach.

The bad news were that the weather was terrible lol! It rained both of the days but at least we enjoyed a little bit of the outdoors walking around town that night.

We had to takes these pics later on a sunny day!

Where we ate:
On our way to Key West we stopped at Cracker Barrel – if you love pancakes, eggs and bacon this is a place to go!That night we ate pizza at Roostica in Key West. We had the burrata salad and one of the pizzas. So good! – I was so hungry I forgot to take pictures lol! But you can see some on their yelp page HERE!

The next day we woke up and ran to the pool to enjoy our last hours at the hotel and after we checked out, we took another stroll around town and had brunch at Frenchies Café before driving back to Miami!

A few things a didn’t expect but LOVED about the Camaro:

– It’s so comfy! Since it’s a super low car, you expect it won’t be confortable but let me tell you, I so wanted to keep it because it was so comfortable!

– Gas lasts forever! We drove all the way to Key West and back and we didn’t have to put gas. I was expecting to put gas at least two times since it’s a V8 but depending on the speed you go, the car changes to V6 and V4.

– It’s so stable, for some reason I thought sport cars wouldn’t be stable but the Camaro has something called StabiliTrak which makes the vehicle not drift in the rain and you feel way more secure.

– I’m a huge fan of rear vision cameras and the Camaro not only has it, but it also has  Rear Park Assist which means that it has sensor that indicates how close you are to other objects! There’s no way you scratch it while parking!

– You can connect your iPhone to the car, this feature is great for those who can’t miss a phone call or for those who love to listen to music on Spotify! That’s actually how we played music on the trip!

By the way, this was my first time driving a convertible and I can’t tell you how much fun we had!
