Hablemos de decoración! Les voy a dar tres tips muy sencillos que he tomado en cuenta para lograr un ambiente minimalista pero a la vez muy acogedor en mi cuarto.

Yo siempre he sido de colores fríos, mira mi Instagram! Pero lastimosamente los colores fríos no son comunes para lograr una atmosfera “cozy” así que a través de los años he aprendido que los colores (si se usan bien) no necesariamente afectan ese sentimiento acogedor.

Muchos cojines en la cama

Los cojines dan la ilusión de que cualquier cama es muchísimo más cómoda (aunque a la hora de dormir pongas todos esos cojines en el piso!) Lo más divertido de ponerle almohaditas a la cama es que le puedes dar muchísima personalidad a todo el cuarto! Lo de ojitos que ven en mi cama son de Ankit – consíguelos aquí.

Alfombras y sábanas peluditas

El faux fur le da un toque calentito al cuarto en un segundo, para esto opté por una alfombra blanca (que sí, lo se, es horrible mantenerla limpia… No dejo que nadie la pise con zapatos!) También compré una “throw blanket” o una sábana de decoración gris súper suavecita  que normalmente la pongo al pie de la cama. La alfombra la compré en Marshalls y la sábana en HomeGoods.

Iluminación

Me encantan las luces de navidad! Estoy loca? La verdad es que la luz de mi cuarto se quemó hace más de un año y nunca la cambié por floja así que la única iluminación que tiene mi cuarto son las luces de navidad… No me quejo, hacen mi cuarto muchísimo más acogedor! No les parece? Las luces de bolitas al lado de los marcos de fotos son de Target y las que están detrás de la cama son luces de arbolito de navidad normales y corrientes jaja!

I’m a fan of cool tones, just look at my Instagram, but unfortunately, these cool tones are not the best to create a cozy atmosphere. However, in the past years I’ve learnt to use these tones to make a room feel very pleasant.

Tons of decorative pillows in the bed

Decorative pillow give the illusion that your bed is ten times comfier (even though you are going to throw all those pillows to the floor when it’s bed time!) The best part about having decorative pillows in your bed is that you can give a lot of personality to the  whole room! The eye sequin pillow from my bed is from Ankit – Get it Here!

Furry carpets and blankets

Faux fur makes the room warmer in an instant, for this I opted for a white carpet (And yeah, I know, it is a nightmare to keep it clean… No one can step on it while wearing shoes!) I also got a grey and very soft throw blanket, I usually put it at the end of the bed, but if I’m too cold I use it under my duvet. The carpet is from Marshalls and the blanket fro HomeGoods.

Lighting

I have a weird obsession with Christmas lights! Am I crazy? The truth is that my light bulb got burnt like a year ago and I’m too lazy to change it so the only light my room has during the night are the little Christmas lights. Can’t complaint, they make my room way more cozier, don’t you think?
