Hello! Long time no read lol. I’ve been a little away from the blog, mostly because I was not feeling motivated enough. You know, it happens from time to time lol. But I’m back and today I want to talk about something I kept private for a few months… Well actually almost SEVEN months hahaha: OUR WEDDING!

Before moving on I want to clarify; I didn’t wear three dresses in one night hahaha our wedding was tiny. By three dresses I mean. 1. The civil ceremony dress, 2. The party dress and 3. The announcement dress.

Ok now that I don’t sound like a crazy rich woman, lets start!

Civil Ceremony

I’m going to be 100% honest with you, I literally found this dress in my closet! I bought it in Zara a few months before the wedding for my brother’s graduation. I loved it so much, I wore it again for the court.

Hola! Cuánto tiempo que no nos leemos! Estaba un poco alejada del blog, la razón? Pues no estaba motivada, y aunque pase de vez en cuando, lo mejor es dejar la mente descansar. Pero ya estoy de regreso y hoy les quiero contar sobre algo que mantuve en secreto por un par de meses, bueno en realidad, casi SIETE meses jajaja: Nuestra boda!

Antes de seguir escribiendo quiero aclarar una cosita: No, no use tres vestidos en una noche, nuestra boda fue muy muy pequeña. Me refiero a que use 1. Para la boda civil 2. Para la fiesta y 3. Para las fotos del “announcement”

Ok ya que no sueno cómo una mujer loca y millonaria, empecemos!

Boda civil

Voy a ser 100% honesta con ustedes, este vestido lo encontré en mi closet! Lo compre en Zara unos meses antes de la boda para ponerme en la graduación de mi hermano. Pero me gustó tanto que me lo puse de nuevo para la corte.

We had SO much fun at our civil ceremony! – I’m sure not a lot of people would say that haha! First of all, my friends and family who came made the situation a little bit less awkward (yes it’s awkward, believe me!) Thank you guys for being so awesome. And second, Alex and I were just cracking up at everything, we couldn’t stop laughing! – Maybe it was the nerves?

No sabes cómo nos divertimos en nuestra boda civil! – estoy segura que no mucha gente diría eso jajaja! Primero que nada, nuestros amigos y familia que vinieron hicieron la situación mucho menos incomoda (porque sí, la cosa es medio extraña créeme!) Gracias a ellos por ser tan increíbles! Y segundo, por alguna razón Alex y yo nos estábamos riendo por todo, no podíamos parar, seguro eran los nervios.

The party

I’m so lucky one of my best friends Vero (@veronicaluisr), is a designer and she told me she would design my dress for the wedding. I told her a little bit of what I wanted and we went to get the fabric together. She put all her heart in this dress and I’m so happy I was able to wear it for the party!

La fiesta

Soy súper afortunada que una de mis mejores amigas, Vero (@veronicaluisr) es diseñadora y me dijo que quería diseñar mi vestido. Le dije más o menos lo que quería y fuimos a comprar la tela juntas. Puso todo su corazón en mi vestido y me hace muy feliz haberlo usado en mi día especial.

The dress was comfy, perfect for our little outdoors wedding (it rained a little bit, but I will share that in another post hahaha – Oh and I also forgot my makeup and I was having a bad hair day) but since everything else was so perfect, I totally forgot about the bad and enjoyed the night with all my loved ones!

El vestido era súper cómodo, perfecto para nuestra boda que fue al aire libre (aunque nos llovió un poquito, pero eso se los contaré otro día! – ah, y también olvidé todo mi maquillaje y estaba teniendo un bad hair day) pero como todo lo demás fue perfecto, se me olvidó lo malo y disfrute mi noche con mis seres queridos.

The announcement

I was not going to do these photos, but one day I was helping my friend Andrea (@erasoandrea) with her trash the dress photos and I felt like I also wanted some photos with a long white dress. If not now, when? I found this spectacular dress at Rosa Clará and I fell in love – Thank you @Nany for coming with me and picking this beautiful dress! It was sexy but at the same time very elegant. Since I think I’m pretty simple when dressing up, I couldn’t see myself with a veil so I got a crown from @aniskacreations instead! I loved how delicate it was and how beautiful it looked with the dress!

Fotos para anunciar que nos casamos

Inicialmente no iba a tomarme estas fotos pero el día que ayude a mi amiga Andrea (@erasoandrea) con sus fotos del “trash the Dres” me dio como la ilusión de tomarme unas fotos con un vestido largo, además si no lo hacia ahora, cuándo iba a hacerlo? Encontré este vestido espectacular en Rosa Clará y me enamoré! – Gracias @Nany por venir conmigo y ayudarme a escogerlo! El vestido corte princesa era sexy pero a la vez muy elegante. Como soy tan sencilla al vestirme, obviamente no quise usar un velo así que opté por una coronita de flores secas de @aniskacreations, amé lo delicada que se veía con el vestido.

Our friend – or better yet, our brother – @gabe_media took our photos at the Freehand Hotel in Miami Beach (you guys need to check out that hotel if you’re in Miami, their 27 Restaurant serves amazing food!)

I enjoyed and loved my three dresses and now that the “secret” is out, maybe I will stop forgetting wearing my ring? LOL I don’t think so!!

Nuestro amigo – o más bien hermano del alma – @gabe_media nos tomó las fotos en el Freehand Hotel en Miami Beach – definitivamente tienen que ir a verlo si están en Miami, tienen un restaurant (27Restaurant) que sirve comida deliciosa!

La verdad es que disfruté mis tres vestidos por igual y ahora que nuestra boda ya no es “secreto” será que ya no se me olvidará ponerme mi anillo? Jajajaja no creo!
